Documentary Photography Awards 2025
Touring Exhibition
The RPS Documentary Photography Award is an international event attracting exceptional documentary photographers and visual storytellers from across the world.
In total, 9 projects are exhibited, with 3 projects from each of the Members, Students and Open categories. This format enables the exhibition to show long-form documentary work from RPS members, student photographers, and more seasoned photographers in the Open category.

The selected projects are diverse, ranging from social documentary, the impact of conflict and war, environmental change, masculinity, austerity, traditional livelihoods, housing, childhood, urbanisation, memory, community life and personal crisis. Together, they provide an insight into the range of what documentary photography can be and how it can be used to tell urgent, personal and socially engaged stories.
