Join photographer Mohamed Hassan for a day of photographic exploration, discovering the landscapes, townscapes and beachscapes of Colwyn Bay through a fresh perspective.
Suitable for all experience levels, this workshop is designed for anyone looking to develop their photography, whether you're just starting out or building on an existing practice. Through discussion, practical exercises and guided shooting, you'll gain techniques and approaches that you can take into your own work.
The workshop begins at 11am at the gallery, where we'll explore visual storytelling, image sequencing, and the creative use of light and composition. We'll then head out on foot to photograph Colwyn Bay, taking time to observe and respond to its changing environments.
While the day's focus is on place and landscape, if opportunities arise and participants are happy to do so, we'll also look at photographing people within these settings.
We'll return to the gallery to review and discuss the day's photographs as a group. Participants shooting on film are very welcome, although images won't be available to share during the session—we'd love to see them once they've been developed.
Places are limited to 10 participants.
The workshop will take place rain or shine, so please dress for the weather. You'll need to bring your own camera or smartphone.
A £25 donation secures your place and directly supports the delivery of the workshop.
